That moment she was born

I could have immediately sworn

my curiosity was torn

from something so foreign

I was so proud

now I can't be wild

when God sent me this child

I just yelled out loud

The first sight of my niece

all I could do was freeze

the chills rushed down my spine

I just knew everything was fine

When she was neat

I knew I was complete

now it's to meet

complete defeat

All I do is pray

that I get a chance to say

I really want you to stay
